Garfield has always been a favorite of mine. I rented the garfield movies a while bak, and they were all great. They had that special thing about them that made each of them special in their won way. I am a happy owner of one of these movies. With one episode were Ody gets captured by the dogpen, and the other episode were John forces Garfield out in the wilderness. Once there Garfield misses his lasagna, TV, and everything else that makes this cats life good. He also meets a local terror: A huge black panther. 

Garfield and friends is a series that is a follow up to the movies. Garfields "friends" are some local animals at a farm. 
I haven't cared much for that, but some of the episodes are fun. When it comes to garfield, the stories in these episodes are a bit more washed out, and if you watch a few episodes you notice comments, and story material used over and over again. But once that is said, I must say that it is great that they kept the same voice actors as in the movies, and since Garfield is such a loveable character, I just hope that this will help to inspire the series progress rather than it's demise.
