Trapdoor is something that went on Childrens Channel a while back. It's not based on cartoon technology, but clay. This clay animated extravaganze occurs inside a scary castle. So the atmosphere of the series is of course very "would be" scary. The clay main character is a keeper for the castle, and is also a guard for a trapdoor which nobody os to open. Because down there in the basement there are slimy things and things with teeth and such. 

The series gets a lot of points for imagination and humour. But most important of all, the story and plot of the series are very well written. It is more difficult than one thinks to write a story for something that should last less than 10 minutes. So this is a classic. Long live the clay empire! Amd don't you open that trapdoor!!:)
